Elevating Everyday Freezer Use Through Refined Materials and Intuitive Details

I designed the GE Upright Freezer line to rethink what a freezer could be—clean, modern, and genuinely intuitive to use.

Instead of the usual wire racks, I introduced durable glass shelves for a more premium, easy-to-clean interior. I also swapped the standard white plastic bins and door shelves for clear polycarbonate—making everything easier to see, reach, and organize while giving the interior a much more refined look.

The design is built around simple geometry and clean lines. I played with the thickness and clarity of the polycarbonate to create beautiful effects of light and refraction—subtle details that make the experience feel elevated.

The interface is equally thoughtful: a soft white LED display keeps the temperature visible at all times, offering peace of mind without adding visual clutter.

This freezer is all about thoughtful design—refined materials, minimalist lines, and small details that make everyday use feel easier and more enjoyable.
