Working closely with real users, I tested multiple iterations to fine-tune grip comfort, balance, and visibility. The result is a lightweight, slim-profile tool that’s easy to maneuver and designed for control in a wide range of working positions.
One key improvement came from reimagining the speed selector. Older routers often relied on small, hard-to-use dials. I collaborated with engineering to design a larger, more ergonomic speed wheel—giving users a more confident, tactile way to choose between 7 speeds.
Visibility and dust control were also key focus areas. I added an integrated LED light to illuminate the bit and work surface, improving precision and user confidence. The dust collection point was designed to be intuitive and easy to use—and crafted in beautifully clear polycarbonate to expose function while maintaining a refined look.
Carefully selected CMF elevates the overall experience: a painted aluminum base provides durability and a premium feel, while soft overmold on the body delivers all-day comfort.
